Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Adaptive Art. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in our in-person art classes and your use of our website, adaptive-art.com. By booking a class or using our services, you agree to these terms.

 

1. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: Booking for classes must be made the month prior to the desired date. preference will be given to recurring classes.

  • Pricing: We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any changes will not affect bookings already paid for.

  • Payment: An invoice for classes will be sent no later than the last day of the month. This invoice is payable through an emailed link, by check, or in person with cash. All payments are due within 30 days of billing, after which late fees will apply.

 

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Student Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the class start date will receive a full refund or credit.

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the class are non-refundable.

  • Business Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, family emergency, or instructor illness. In these cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

 

3. Attendance and Conduct​

  • Behavior: We maintain a respectful, creative environment. We reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive or disrespectful to others without a refund.

  • Most classes do not require additional staff support, however sometimes there are more students than one teacher can handle. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants, additional staff support is required for more than 10 participants in an assisted living setting and more than 5 participants in a memory care setting.

 

4. Safety and Liability

  • Physical Safety: Art classes may involve tools, chemicals, or equipment (e.g., kilns, sharp blades). You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor.

  • Waiver of Liability: By attending, you acknowledge that Adaptive Art is not liable for any personal injury or loss of personal property occurring on the premises.

  • Allergies: Please notify us of any known allergies to materials (e.g., latex, certain pigments) before the class begins.

 

5. Materials and Property

  • Provided Materials: Unless stated otherwise, materials provided are for use during class only.

  • Clothing: Art is messy! We are not responsible for damage to your clothing or personal items. Protective gear (aprons) may be provided but is not guaranteed to prevent all stains.

  • We will do our best to keep your property from being damaged, but accidents happen. While table coverings are provided, no attempt at floor covering will be made as this can pose a serious trip hazard. We are not liable for any damage caused during classes. 

 

6. Photo and Media Release

We occasionally take photos or videos during classes for promotional use on our website or social media. By participating, you grant us permission to use your likeness unless you explicitly opt-out in writing before the class begins.

 

7. Intellectual Property

The techniques, handouts, and curriculum taught in class are the intellectual property of Adaptive Art. You may not film the instruction or redistribute our course materials for commercial purposes.

 

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Utah.
